ZONA EMERGENCIAL - V.A. II 2021

Runnin' an independent electronic music label during the sanitary crisis of the century isn't an easy work. Our biggest motivation is to boost the production of dissident trajectories, being part of a peripheral dancefloor global movement.
ZONAexp's second VA, Zona Emergencial, is a plural compilation tied up with a Brazilian freestyle. 22 tracks produced by artists from various locations of a broken nation, resulting on a lethal dancefloor arsenal.

In this edition, beside electro/ghetto tech and speed up juke bombs, that are always in our releases on tracks from ERAM, TABU, Pianki, Perrelli, DJ Felix, CRAZED (BR) and Marcelulose, we've amplified the vision to have more references from UK genres. So we matched with artists from the emerging Brazilian grime scene: Yescal and Gau Beats who delivered two heavy weight beats, with distorted basses and eski square wave synthesizers. The also initiated in grime/drill scene, Meio Feel and Brunoso used the opportunity to experiment: Meio Feel with a 85bpm riddim submerged on a mandela(funk) bassline, and Brunoso with a funk kicks dynamite, full of drived amen breaks. The fast cutting drum n' bass is in NORA's name, making a counterpoint to a I.C.G.'s obscure and spacial break and Bad_Mix's melted jungle.

The release is set to august 27, with the objective of generating income to the net of producers that relate to the label, joining funds through the sells of the V.A. and ZONAexp's official merch. When imagining this compilation, we joined forces to find an alternative to the lack of resources and precariousness that Brazil's political situation led us to. Through this plan we are willing to strengthen the artists that keep this creative environment alive despite all the crisis going on.
